Pandey acknowledged that for the Union Territory of Delhi 400 Electrical Buses — 300 to Delhi Transport Company (DTC) for intra-city operations and 100 to Delhi Metro Rail Company (DMRC) for final Mile connectivity — have been sanctioned in August 2019.

“The provision orders have been to be positioned by January 15, 2020. DMRC issued a provide order in December 2019 to the profitable Bidders whereas Delhi Transport Company (DTC) might solely subject a provide order in March 2021. To facilitate DTC, MHI prolonged the final date of the availability order by DTC March 31, 2021, as a particular case for offering a pollution-free world-class transit system to Delhi,” in line with the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
